-Nancy Ward, Seniors CoordinatorOn Monday, September 18, 2017, the Fork Baptist Seniors
boarded the church bus and headed to Lexington, NC for lunch. 23 seniors, including our driver, Dallas Jones, went. We ate at Cagney’s Kitchen on Fairview Drive. They offer delicious specials every day as well as speciality sandwiches, vegetables, pastas, seafood, & salads. They also serve breakfast all day, so everyone was able to choose something good to eat! Alvin had the blessing for us and “Erin” waited on us wonderfully. There was a lot of talking, visiting and eating going on for a couple of hours. After we ate, we went back to the church, so we were only gone about 3 hours. The purpose of going out to eat somewhere this close to home was so those who have trouble riding the bus or being gone a long time, could go by car. We had 6 to do that, but the rest went on the bus. This was the largest number we have had to go on a trip this year so we may do this again later on! We missed Maretha who was in the hospital having surgery.
